Comprehensive assessment focuses on physician practice financials & patient accounting processes.
A comprehensive assessment based on depth and breadth of 30 years of healthcare experience with payors and providers, and covering all the core processes and functions in a 3-5 week timeframe is offered. The assessment focuses on the effectiveness of a physician practice’s financial and patient accounting processes and technology employed, and a thorough analysis of options. The objective is to articulate the impact of performance issues in terms of physican compensation, excessive administrative bottlenecks, checks and balances, and to identify strategies for improving practice performance.
On-site interviews with key stakeholders plus a workflow evaluation are conducted to identify issues and heighten efficiency. There will also be off-site analysis and result formulation, fine-tuning, and a presentation of findings. The final report will summarize the project background, assumptions and methods employed, current performance gaps, conclusions and recommendations.
It is especially critical when a situation arises where the confidence level of the stakeholders – the physician owners/partners – has been impaired due to trust issues in the on-site business manager or a lack of confidence in the manner in which the business is conducted. These services are provided on a per project basis, and the return on investment: potential savings identified compared to the cost of the project, are a multiple of the project cost. My experience has demonstrated average savings of at least four times the project cost.
